eduroam Wi-Fi access in Windows 10 Phone

You can connect your Windows 10 Phone to the University Wi-Fi network.

Instructions

Unlike the previous version, Windows Phone 10 already has the Deutsche Telekom root certificate installed. This means you can get on with configuring your phone.

Swipe right on the home screen and tap “Settings”.

Tap “Network and settings”.

Tap “Wi-Fi”.

Tap “Eduroam”.

Enter the username for your student or employee account in the username field, followed by the suffix “@uni-koeln.de”.

Important: The suffix "@uni-koeln.de" must be added for both student and employee accounts (not "@smail.uni-koeln.de" or the like), or you will not be able to connect to eduroam at other universities. Example:jsmith@uni-koeln.de

Enter your password. Select server certificate validation.

Tap “Select certificate”.

Select “Deutsch Telekom Root CA 2".

Tap “Finish” to complete the configuration.

On the Wi-Fi screen, you can see that you are connected to the eduroam network.
