UniKoeln-WEB Wi-Fi on Mac OS X

Enable your AirPort card before following these instructions. You may need administrator rights.

1. Under the Apple icon -> System Settings -> Network -> AirPort, open the settings for the AirPort card.

The dialogue for changing the Wi-Fi settings for the Airport card will open.
If the lock icon on the bottom left is closed, open it by clicking to make changes.

2. Click on "More Options". Select "Preferred networks" if necessary so that you can see the screen below:

3. Now click on the "+" button below the list of existing wireless networks and enter "Unikoeln-WEB” as a new network and deactivate encryption under “Security”.

4. If you have more than one Wi-Fi network listed, you should sort these by priority. To do this, drag and drop the entry “UniKoeln-Web” to the first position.

5. Confirm your changes by clicking “OK” and then “Apply”. Your Mac will now connect to the “UniKoeln-Web” Wi-Fi network as soon as it is in range.

For new sessions, the connection will be established automatically. This will happen as soon as you enable the AirPort card. If you are in a different location, select settings for this location from the network settings.
