Paths: When the account is used for the first time, folders in SoFS are created and named according to the accountname. The public folder, by default, is visible to all users at the university. Renaming this folder is not possible due to technical limitations. If preferred, the public folder can be removed by request: Contact form: SoFS<.
Encryption: Data in SoFS are not encrypted, neither in the folder nor during the transfer. Excludede from that is the transfer via the WebDAV protocol, where the transmission is TLS-encrypted.
Access: The access to the private folder is only granted to the owner of the folder and our system administrators. System administrators might need to list all available folders, due to maintenance reasons, but will never access your data without your explicit permission.
