Way of order:

1. Install Citavi Free.
Download the free- version of Citavi Free.

2. Ask for your free license key.
To get you personal license key you have to register for a Citavi Account.
Therefore please authenticate yourself with your e-mail address of the University of Cologne: "account-name@smail.uni-koeln.de". No private e-mail address! www.citavi.com/uni-koeln

3. Enter the license data in a Citavi.
Start Citavi and enter the license key which you can find in you Citavi Account. With the license key the free version will be converted in the Campus version for the duration of the campus-lease . The license key gives you the right to use Citavi on two computers (at home and at work) or on a USB stick.

Terms of use:

1.The right of use ends with the de-registration of the University of Cologne or with the end of the contractual term of the campus-license (currently 03/31/2023) - depending on which event occurs first.

2.The treaty on Citavi campus license is limited in time and is automatically extended or renewed to a contract period, unless agreement can be made between the parties. By change of the treaty, the license fees may change.

3. After the termination of the treaty on Citavi campus-license, all programs which have been licensed in the context of the contract, have to be deleted at the end of the licensing year.

Citavi makes you a discounted offer for the acquisition of a private license if the university does not extend the license, or if you drop out of the university. The functions of Citavi free are still available for you without a license. You can continue to access your data and export it, for example. However, if your project database includes more than 100 titles, the data with Citavi Free can not be changed.

2. Every year the price will be adjusted according to the remaining time of the campus license.

3.  Is the software installed on a business-computer who is used by only one employee, there is a Home-Use-right. That means that it is allowed to install the software additionally on a home-computer or on a private notebook.

4. The treaty on Citavi campus-license is limited in time and is automatically extended or renewed to a contract period, unless agreement can be made between the parties. By change treaty, the license fees may change.

5. After the termination of the treaty on Citavi campus-license, all programs which have been licensed in the context of the contract, have to be deleted at the end of the licensing year.
