The RRZK as Associate Member of the Gauss-Alliance

The Gauss-Alliance was founded as a non-profit association for the promotion of science and research. It supports the scientific community in Germany by establishing and further developing an efficient use of supercomputing resources. It coordinates complementary competencies and simplifies access to suitable HPC resources.

In addition, the Gauss-Alliance has set itself the goal of improving the international visibility of German research efforts in this field. Full members include national computer centres for HPC and subject-related HPC centres.

The RRZK has been an associated member of the Gauss-Alliance since the summer of 2011. By participating in the Gauss-Alliance, the RRZK participates in the promotion of high-performance computing as an independent strategic research activity.

Since August 2011, the Gauss-Alliance has regularly published an circular letter. It informs all those interested in HPC and the public about news within the German HPC community.
