CHEOPS (Cologne High Efficiency Operating Plattform for Science) is the University of Cologne's high performance computing cluster providing a compute power of 100 Teraflop/s. In November 2010 CHEOPS took 90th place in top 500 of world's fastest supercomputers (www.top500.org).
With the funded project SuGI (Sustainable Grid Infrastructure), clusters were installed at the sites Kaiserslautern, Kassel and Cologne. All three clusters are available with clients of the middleware Globus ToolKit 4.
In addition to resources of the SuGI clusters, the RRZK provides access to a cluster to visualize user data remotely.
