Using eduroam
We recommend using eduroam for Wi-Fi access at the University of Cologne. Eduroam offers both members of the University and international guests from other universities wireless internet access. This requires the participation of the university in the roaming programme.
In the following section, we have prepared configuration instructions for all major operating systems:
Username for eduroam
The username is always the same as the username for the University of Cologne account (Student or employee account) for example "mmuster3" or "apc02". E-mail addresses including alias names are not valid to log on (your.name@uni-koeln.de is not a valid username).
Information for eduroam users of other universities
If you are a member of another university which is also a member of the eduroam initiative, you may use eduroam at our campus as well. Please refer to the instructions of your university when configuring your devices. The manuals above are only valid for users of the university of cologne.
