Administration of UniKIM

If you are administrator of a virtual mail domain, you will be granted additional rights for this task in the UniKIM.

Log in at
with your normal access data. You should see three so-called workflows under the "Applications" tab.


Workflows in detail

Assign email alias

Assign an account an address within your mail domain.

You can search for the target account with name or account name. When searching for names, please make sure that you find the correct target account. The search is not limited to persons of your own facilities. The assignment is only possible on personal or guest accounts (no student accounts).

The affected account will be informed by mail after setup.

From setting up a new address to being delivered, it can currently take up to two hours, this is not an error.

Remove an email alias

Delete an address within your mail domain.

You can search for the target account with name, account name or mail address.

The affected account will be informed about the deletion by e-mail.

Please note: An already used address may only be assigned if the address has not been used for personal mail before, or if the previous owner has explicitly agreed to the transfer. If this is not the case, you may not assign the address anew to the normal address stock for at least 1 year.

Aliases Assigned Overview

Here you can view all currently used addresses within your mail domain and export them as a list in CSV format.

Change of responsibilities

You can have more people enabled to manage your virtual mail domain. Please send an informal e-mail to postmaster[at] with the name and account name of the person(s). If you give up the task and/or leave the university, you must name a:n successor:in in time.
