Costs of a 3D scan

A 3D scan is a labor-intensive process. With increased detail of a scan or a more complex object, a variety of work steps are necessary to ensure quality. This includes a high number of individual scans and more intensive error correction.

Rough/snurled:

a rough, twisted surface requires scansfrom different angles. Furthermore, error control is more complex in more complicated places.

Angled/very inhomogeneous:

an angled, very inhomogeneous object requires additional monoscans to fill all holes. These are very error-prone.

0,06mm/px:

an increased level of detail is achieved via a smaller measuring field. This means more individual scans and a finer error check.
