You have a 10GB quota for your personal data. If you belong to an institution and need more storage space for your research and teaching, you can obtain this from your institution or the RRZK. When using this directory, you do not use up your SoFS storage space.

Institutions of the University of Cologne can use up to 1 TB of storage space in the SoFS free of charge. The management can submit a corresponding request per institution. Please clarify in advance whether your institution already manages its own storage space.

If your institution already has its own space, you can obtain a corresponding subdirectory there with full access. The person with administration rights will set this up for you and inform you of the corresponding network path.

Please submit the request for storage space for an institution in SoFS via our storage management system TAMARA. Please select "NAS" as the storage type.

Notes

There is already a section in the SoFS for the Faculty of Law. It advises and supports the IT department of the Dean's Office: jura-it(at)uni-koeln.de.

Institutions of the Faculty of Medicine (except CECAD) please use the cost center 130100000.
