Costs of a 3D scan
A 3D scan is a labor-intensive process. With increased detail of a scan or a more complex object, a variety of work steps are necessary to ensure quality. This includes a high number of individual scans and more intensive error correction.
Option | Standard choice | Extendet choice I | Extendet choice II |
---|---|---|---|
Size | Objects up to 10cm: 15€ | Objects up to 30cm: larger objects need more individual scans for completion with the same scan field 20€ | Objects up to 50cm: larger objects need more individual scansfor completion with the same scan field |
Colour | None: +0€ | Yes: black, shiny and transparent spots on the object cause more holes in the file. These have to be corrected by repeated scans and pre-treatment with matting spray. +5€ | |
Surface properties | Smooth/light shapes: +0€ | Rough/snurled: a rough, twisted surface requires scansfrom different angles. Furthermore, error control is more complex in more complicated places. +5€ | Angled/very inhomogeneous: an angled, very inhomogeneous object requires additional monoscans to fill all holes. These are very error-prone. +10€ |
Desired level of detail | 0,1mm/px: +0€ | 0,06mm/px: an increased level of detail is achieved via a smaller measuring field. This means more individual scans and a finer error check. +5€ | 0,02mm/px: an increased level of detail is achieved via a smaller measuring field. This means more individual scans and a finer error check. +10€ |
Transfer of files | Via sciebo: +0€ | Via Data DVD: only to cover the costs of the material and the purchase. +2,50€ |
